Sunday Science Experiments

Today we got up and went to church-great service by the way. Then we went to Kroger to get some bread since everything we has was all moldy (ewww). I remember that I have to get a box of cake mix for the cake I am making for the cake walk for PWOC so I stop to grab a box. Well, Wesley of course gravitates to the sprinkles. He asks if we can get a bottle of rainbow colored ones and I tell him, "No, we already have some at home. Put them back on the shelf." What does he do? Opens the lid and proceeds to shake them into his mouth! Very bad decision. Then I had to buy them since they had my kid's spit all over them. *sigh*. We make it home (and he is not allowed to watch Baby Einstein all day because the sprinkles incident which, trust me is a bad thing to him right now). Anyway, we get home, have lunch and we try out some of the science experiments that came along with his flask from his Chick-Fil-A kids meal yesterday. We had a lot of fun with vinegar and baking soda. Of course Wesley just wanted to know where the "fire" was from the volcano. I took some pics, if I at a chance I will post them later.

So, it's a nice day maybe I will get Wesley away from his legos and outside for a bit. This is when I need Christopher around, so I can take a nap and he can exhaust Wesley by running around playing soccer with him. :)

Hey everyone-not that anyone reads this anymore, since I haven't posted in almost a year! Ooops. I doubt I will do a "catch-up" post, so consider this a fresh start.

Well, we are in our first week of our second deployment. I can hardly believe it, it seems like I was just dropping him off for his first deployment. But here we are. I hear that it doesn't get any easier, and in some ways that is true, but in some ways not. I know what to expect this time, and I know I have a fantastic group of women here to support me, along with all my other friends and family. Plus I have a 3 1/2 year old to run after, that is enough to keep me busy for a while. I truly believe that God has had a hand in us being where we are, that we are exactly where we are supposed to be right now, so I am trusting in Him to take care of us for the next year. A positive already: Christopher says it is beautiful where he is, that there are endless stars...I think someone will be getting a star chart for Christmas. ;) .

I don't know how much exciting stuff will be going on, but I will try to update, even if it is not very exciting stuff. Who knows? There might be a couple of surprises along the way...
